About

A Bridge

Well, the best I can say is probably grossly insufficient, considering I’m really, honestly terrible at elaborating, especially when it concerns me individually. I mostly end up making excuses for myself.

But disregarding that insufficiency, there are a number of things that you must know about me, if we are to walk along the way together. I live in Boston, Massachusetts, where I am studying Composition and Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music; that being said, I’ve moved fifteen times, and consequently I’m sort of a restless gypsy, so I reserve the right to change my mind momentarily (more on this here). I have a wonderful family, who are my shelter in a tumultuous life; oh, and a neurotic golden retriever, who, while not being much of a shelter, is still rather reassuring. I play guitar like the world’s gonna end, and piano, like it’s just beginning. I write voraciously, and with all the passion and fear and love that rises within me. I am convinced that this is a difficult and dark time, but that light always shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot comprehend it. I know that the light shines in me, and it is because of this that I write these apologies of hope. It is my hope that in reading what you find on this blog, you will enter into the fray, into the struggle to cling to what is right and true and beautiful; we can figure out the answers later.

On that note, if you have questions regarding my blog, or me personally (and I assure you, both are quite conspicuous), please don’t hesitate to email me at: eucharisto@gmail.com.

  • I wonder how could one be a fallen and earnest follower of Christ simultaneously. Or did you imply ‘once fallen’, or I simply did not understand what you intended to convey.

  • You’re in the creative writing program at SPU right? How’s that going?

    Hi Joel,

I listened to your music online and I would love to purchase your CD’s. Is there an outlet where you sell them? Let me know.

    God Bless,
    Jen

    Hi,
I just have a question about when you said you, “play guitar like the world is going to end”:
Did you always use to be like that? or How long have you been like that?
